Well, its been a while, sorry bout that, we've had stuff to do! Its been quite a busy October. A bit mixed, but busy! Thanks to everyone who turned out to the gigs at The Eye and the shithole that is known as The Betsey Trotwood! (who's bloody idea was it to turn a cellar that's as big as my toilet into a ROCK venue?!!) where there's cupboard space, there's an oppurtunity to make money I guess... oh, its probably safe to say that they won't be offering us another gig there, so no big deal!
We're taking a month off gigging to concentrate on new material, as I sense that you guys are tiring of the same set after nearly two years.. (why? WHY?!!) To be honest, I think we are bored of playing most of the old stuff now, and that has possibly shown in our last couple of gigs at The Eye and on Friday at The BT. I LOVE playing British Summertime, Enjoying The View, Les McQueen and Dirty Mouth, but (and I can only speak for myself) the older stuff is grating on me, and we're better than those songs! So, first on my scrapheap would be Punchline, Party Trick, hmmm, maybe Fat Elvis can stay in... I think we have about 14 new songs to choose from, so its a case of listening to the demo's we have, and working out which ones will sound best live... Listen out for "Escape Trick" In my opinion, the best song Bill has written yet. I cannot wait to play it!
So, nothing until December 3rd, when we return to The Metro Club on Oxford street, so get down, its gonna be brilliant... tickets are already available at www.stargreen.com
