Hello?

Anyone there?!

Bugger. Better. write. something... nnnngggahhhhhh

Well dear oh dear oh dear!

Drummer Stu is in, and, you know, I'm probably not the best person to write about band stuff! I'll probably just get off on a tangent somewhere and end up in a tirade against the virtues of sticky tape.
Havingsaid that, I'm going to give it a shot, so bare with me and I'll do my best.

First of all, thanks to those of you who turned out for our last gig at Infinity. It was a much better gig then I thought it was going to be. I sat at the back thinking throughout the gig "not bad, not brilliant, but thats cool" But I got home, and listened back to what we played, and I was pretty astounded at how tight we are as a three piece. I know that sounds a little egotistical, but fuck it, I love this band, and happen to think we are great, so screw you!

Considering we had no set list, we played really well. Dirty Mouth, as I've said before, is not a song I liked to begin with, but at gigs, its taking on a life of its own, and is phenomenal. As is British Summertime, the jewel in our crown I think, which we now play as well as its ever gonna be played.

As a band, we have hit the groove, and are growing more comfortable in our abilities, and the way that each other works and plays. Those little nuances, the signs that we all give with our body language, our eyes, are all fitting together now, and come the end of the year, we're going to be a force to be reckoned with. Mark my words. This time next year, we're gonna be being paid handsomely to do what we love, that you can guarantee.

So apart form my wild prophecies, alls a bit quiet! Browns somewhere in Morrocco, Bills on antibiotics so can't dink, and generally being boring, Bruce is slowly on his way back to the Pearly fold via russia and other weird places, and I'm getting fatter by the day, in preperation for my trek around Equador in a few weeks, where I will be hungry all the bloody time!

So its going to be slighty quiet on the pearly front until the 28th August and our gig at Metro on Oxford Street. We're hopefully going to have a new song or two to play, and probably no set list again, and its gonna be good, so put it in your diaries and get down. I'll even say hello...

See ya!
